What you should know
We recognize our obligation to keep information about you secure and confidential. It's important for you to know that, unlike many other financial services company's we do not sell or share Customer Information with marketers. So, there is no need for you to tell us not to. You also need to know that we carefully manage information to give you better service, more convenience.

What the policy covers
This policy covers Customer Information, which means personally identifiable information about a consumer or a consumer's current or former relationship with Electracash, Inc. This policy is provided to you as required by the Federal Financial Privacy Law. *

Electracash, Inc. does not sell or otherwise share any customer information with marketers outside Electracash, Inc. You don't need to take any action to prevent disclosure.

Collecting Information
We collect and use various types of information to service your accounts, save you time and money and better understand your needs. We want to help you learn more about products and services that may be of interest to you.

Customer information we collect is categorized as the following five types:
  • Information you provide to us on applications for service.
  • Information about your transactions and account experience with us, such as your account balance, payment history, or information about our communication with you.
  • Information from a consumer report, such as information regarding your creditworthiness or credit history.
  • Information from outside sources regarding your employment, credit or other relationship with you or verifying representations made by you, such as your employment history, loan or credit card balances if applicable.
  • Other general information we obtain about you that is not assembled for the purpose of determining your eligibility for credit, employment or other product or service you request, such as demographic information.

The information we share helps us bring you greater convenience and more choices. We limit who receives Customer Information and what type of information is shared.

Note that this request will apply to information from applications, consumer reports and other outside sources only and may take six to eight weeks to be fully effective. Through the normal course of doing business, including servicing your accounts and better serving your financial needs, we will continue to share transaction and account experience information, as well as other general information within our company. However, you can control whether our company will contact you. Please refer to the section Honoring Your Preferences.

Sharing information with companies that work for us
We may share all five types of Customer Information with companies that work for us, including some of our own subsidiaries, to provide you products and services that you've requested or already have with us. We share the information needed to provide those products and services and to provide a good customer experience. These companies may include financial service providers such as insurance companies and payment processing companies and non-financial companies such as data processing companies.

These companies might assist us, for example, in fulfilling your service request, processing your transaction, or mailing account statements.

Disclosing information in other situations

Taking individual responsibility for protecting personal information
While Electracash, Inc. works to protect your privacy, you also play a role in protecting personal information.

Your role To help safeguard information, we suggest the following:
